1. Who we are and what this covers
Barons is an online game published by WPPF Development (sole proprietorship / eenmanszaak) (Rompert Park 131, 5233 RL 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, KvK 80816770). These terms apply when you download or play the game. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data.
2. Your account
- You need to be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You can play as a guest, but guest progress lives on one device until you link an account.
- One person may control one company per season. Using bots, scripts, multiple accounts or exploits to gain an advantage is not allowed.
3. Company names and conduct
Company names and other choices you make are visible to everyone. They must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate others or infringe anyone's rights. We may rename, hide or reset names and suspend accounts that break these rules. You can report a company name in the game (owner: report feature to be built).
4. The game world, seasons and virtual items
- The game runs in seasons of about 70 days. At the end of a season the world resets. Rankings and season rewards are kept as described in the game.
- In-game money ("GC"), goods, buildings and items are a limited licence to use them in the game. They have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred outside the game's own market.
- Some companies in the world are run by the game. They follow the same rules as players and are labelled.
- We may change, balance or remove features, prices and content to keep the game fair and working.
5. Purchases
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy.
- We sell cosmetic items and convenience features (for example themes, logo packs, a season pass with extra cosmetic rewards, boost packs and an optional subscription). We never sell in-game money or goods.
- Right of withdrawal: when you buy digital content that is delivered immediately, you agree that delivery starts straight away and you acknowledge that this ends your 14-day right of withdrawal. This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not delivered.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Season-limited items (such as a season pass) last until the end of the season stated at the time of purchase.
- For refunds, contact Apple or Google. If an item did not arrive, write to support@playbarons.com.
6. Availability
The game needs an internet connection. We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may end the game with at least 60 days' notice in the game. If we do, we will handle unused paid time on subscriptions as the law requires.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where reasonable we will warn you first, and you may object by writing to support@playbarons.com.
9. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may go to the competent court there. (The EU ODR platform closed in July 2025, so no link to it is needed.)
